Governors

Message from the Chair of Governors

Governors meet on a regular basis to discuss progress of the school and to consider new policies and regulations that need to be introduced. A number of Governors have specific responsibilities in a particular area or department within school and they will visit their respective area/department and report to the Full Governors on a termly basis. Governors also play an active role in school celebrations and performances

Mrs IIona Wyld

"I am married and have two children one of which is in Year 7 at The Wordsley School. I feel passionately about education and believe every child has the right to a good education as this is critical to their later life achievements. My experience in already being a governor at my son's primary school together with the skills and knowledge I have gained during my time working for myself being both practical and financial will help me in my role as parent governor."

Mr Ian Grosvenor

"I work as a Principal Accountant for the local authority which provides me with a wide range of transferable skills that help me in my role as a governor. I am married with two children, both of whom attended The Wordsley School and they thoroughly enjoyed their experience as pupils. I believe my professional background along with my personal experience as a parent gives me a well balanced approach to being an effective school governor. My personal interests include photography and hill walking."

Mr Peter Harrington
